You are twice as likely to be hit by lightning as to have your vote swing a state that would tip the balance in the Electoral College.

The odds of voting for president and having your ballot be the deciding one are 60 million to 1, according to the study, conducted by a Columbia University prof and two others.

In New York, the odds are 1.9 billion to 1 that one vote would win an election.
