he residents of Arlington, Oregon find themselves red faced over the recent antics of their town’s mayor, Carmen Kontur Gronquist. She has posted racy lingerie photos on her MySpace website.
The black bra and panty clad woman has now shuttered her MySpace page, limiting access to her closest friends. The 500 residents of Arlington have many questions for their wayward town official. Kontur Gronquist thinks its much adieu about nothing. She told the Pendleton East Oregonian that her constituents need to get over it because she did nothing wrong.
Part of what got the town upset was that the photos were taken while she was on a fire truck at the local fire hall. Besides acting as Arlington’s mayor, she is also the local fire department’s executive secretary. Sounds like a fun loving bunch at the fire hall.
The mayor claims the photos were posted on her MySpace site long before she became Arlington’s mayor, 3 years ago. Whether the town council will address the issue at their Wednesday night meeting is yet to be determined. It is likely we haven’t heard the end of the story.
